Death at the beach. The beach patrol truck was on the way to a rescue early yesterday morning and a man and his black lab were playing fetch near the waves on the beach. The lab runs into the truck and the wheel well kills him. Seth, Doug and the owner carried the lab back to the man's beach house. They were all very sad. I had seen the two playing in the water on Friday, but didn't have the camera nearby and commented on how sweet it was.
Unlike the rainy day at the beach yesterday, today was the perfect weather for a spring day at the beach. Kyla got down and dirty into the sand for the first time and loved it!. We left the beach house at noon and headed to the wharf in Galveston to buy fresh snapper and shrimp to take home to Seth's in Kyle. I followed in my car as I have business Monday near Austin. Doug stayed at the beach house and was surprised by an invitation to view the concrete beach house two doors down and met the 92 year old lady that owns that fabulous house.
I took us 6 hours to travel from Galveston to Austin because we stopped and stopped. But bluebonnets photos were important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then we cooked the red snapper and shrimp with wild rice and sliced tomatoes for supper and yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
