There was an egret on the beach lot next to us today. Caught it about to take flight. We (loosely meaning me...mostly meaning Doug) put up the rest of the outdoor Christmas light today. The beach house is really shaping up now.
I've now said Aloha to the Texas Surf at BermudaBeachTexas.blogspot.com after living the beach life and have chosen the Cowboy Capital of Texas deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country as my next adventure. This was my mantra: "Art is my life...and as of the first of December the beach will take over my life. I will soon be waking up within 50 yards of the waves from the Gulf of Mexico. My daily writings and photography will appear here for the next six months documenting my life with my best friend, Doug, on the beach." Now.....ART is still my life, but I'm living in a cottage high on a bluff overlooking the Medina River. Herds of deer roam my yard and I watch hawks catch the downdrafts from flying over the river. My porch swing has the million dollar view and I want to record it all on my blog. So prop a pillow under your laptop and get comfortable. Here we go!
