Day 2

The waves were more calm as I drove through the wet sand road to reach the beach access road to the highway. It was still dark about 6:30 and the tide was going out. Our sandy road to the beach house was washed away by Hurricane Ike last year and is yet to be repaved by the City of Galveston. Don't hold your breath. Doug is not worried that we will get stuck. Wet sand is usually hard....Key word is "usually."

Faculty meeting after school kept me late and then had to grade artwork and input grades for tomorrow is progress notice deadline. Drove by the golden arches (the new one has a cool aquarium in it) and picked up two salads for supper. Yes, SALADS. It was dark and blowing a small gale by the time I reached the beach. Went outside and took dark beach photos. Small technical problem because my camera will not download them. Meanwhile, publishing my photo of the house taken previously.

Back to blog 30 minutes later....my fault...this non-technical person had the plug put into the wrong USB port....it was in the cable connection which I didn't know was....so two days of photos are ready. Back to beach pics.....yesterday, was cold when we took our self portraits on the deck. Tonight the tide was low and we found a pair of sunglasses washed up. Who knows what lurks from the depths of the sea?
