Like the rest of the nation over 40, I, too, have decided to shape up this year. I am reading Dr. Oz's book (Oprah's doc)called YOU Staying Young, The Owner's Manual for Extending Your Warranty. It is eazzzy to read, makes a lot of sense and has fantastic illustrations. It even has 3 pages on afib. I'd love to meet the artist who drew those images in the book....lots of character and cartoony on some pretty serious subjects. Anyway, I digress.
Because of the afore mentioned activity, I did exercise on my gazelle this morning for 15 minutes while watching CBS Charles Osgood. Love that show! They had an artist from Oregon who collects butterflies and beetles from around the world and hermetically seals them and then designs them into a composition, framed to sell. Quite marvelous. After we wrapped in many layers, but we discovered not enough, Doug and I went out for a 15 minute walk on the beach. Brrrrrrrrr.
He is now taking down Christmas lights and I am waiting for my canvas to dry so I can start off the new year right with fresh creativity. Thinking of painting a fish. Here's my makeshift studio spot at the kitchen table. Too cold to paint en plein air. And my spot where I sit while blogging. OMG...three riders on horseback just ran past on the beach and I could not get up fast enough and grab the camera for a proper photo. Another reason why I need to exercise!!!!!
