I've decided to embrace the dead, ugly palm tree that constantly blocks my photography efforts. This Hurricane Ike damaged and bent over palm is only steps away from my mailbox and the westerly views of my camera. Perhaps, the owner thinks they can use the replanting service of the city so they hesitate to cut down the tree. Doug and I want to offer our tree cutting services so we can be rid of the awful monster. But no....we are at a stalemate. So I'm rethinking my opinion of the forelorn, lonely, abused once green tropical palm. I looked at it through my camera lens this afternoon upon my return from the wayward student population. Texture was plentiful and the shape and form reminded me of boulders and canyons somewhere in my psyche.(sp?).
